Venice, Italy
From the Almalfi coast to Capri, Milan and Rome, Italy has so many beautiful places to offer newlyweds on their honeymoon adventure. From classy couture to history, culture, art and great food, Italy is the perfect get-away after the stresses of destination wedding planning abate but no place is quite so romantic as Venice. Surrounded by water, Venice may be small but it has a big heart and there is plenty to see and do. Pizza off St. Marks square and a Gondola ride through the quaint yet quiet waterways goes without saying. Opera at one of the many theatres, gelato along the promenade, a visit to Saint Mark’s Basilica are other must-dos. Summer can be busy so it is advisable to get to sightseeing spots early as lines can be long. Just don’t forget to pick up a unique piece of glass jewellery in Murano, a short water taxi ride from the mainland. Even if jewellery is not on the agenda, go for the view – this particular stretch of water offers one of the most spectacular sailaways in the world and attracts all the big cruise lines.
Prague, Czech Republic
As stunning by night as it is by day, this is a top contender for any couple who loves music and architecture, not necessarily in that order. The St Vitrus Catherdral, Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, Old Town Square, the ornate baroque halls of the Klementinum, the infamous astronomical clock and former Jewish quarter are just a few of the fabulous features to experience. Alternatively, let time seemingly stand still over one of the iconic bridges spanning the river Vltava, it guarantees a picture postcard view.
Kefalonia, Greece
Just 30 miles off the coast of mainland Greece, Kefalonia is the perfect island hideout for some sun, sea and relaxation. Offering the warmest waters in the Med and strips of gleaming white sand, Kefalonia is proud to showcase it’s beautiful beaches, restaurants and quiet resorts that dot its coastline. The Melissani Cave, Drogarati Caves and monastery of St. Gerassimos in particular are not-to-be-missed days out and the traditional fishing villages of Agia Effimia, Asos and Poros are worth a visit. For those who fancy a bit of island hopping, both the mainland and other islands are just a short ferry ride away.

Filled to the brim with festivals, shows, sightseeing spots, shopping, music and the famous west-end musicals, it is no wonder that tourists flock here every year with wonder and excitement. Newlyweds planning a wedding in London followed by a honeymoon in the Capital will need to plot out their holiday carefully in order make the most of their time.

Nestled into the coastline of Southern Spain, Marbella is a great place to thrown down your beach towel, soak up some sun by the pool and taste some typical Spanish cuisine. A stone’s throw from some of Andalucía’s biggest landmarks such as Puerto Banus, Sevilla, Rhonda, Malaga, Granada, Cadiz and Gibraltar to name but just a few Spanish hot spots, renting a car is by far, the best way to get out and about. Rich in resorts, spas, shops, beach bars and a busy nightlife, Marbella has a little bit of something for everyone.
