The final season of Fixer Upper is yet to begin.

And yet the final season of Fixer Upper is also over for Chip and Joanna Gaines.

The beloved HGTV stars have completed filming new episodes of their network’s highest-rated series, wrapping up the finale this past weekend.

In response to her last time showing a couple just what she and her husband did to improve their home, Joanna shared the following image and caption.

“Today was the final reveal… We definitely felt the emotion behind each of those steps leading up to the big canvas. We love you Fixer Upper. Season premiers on November 21.”

Gaines added the hashtag #savedthebestseasonforlast.

In late September, Chip and Joanna surprised fans when they announced Fixer Upper was coming to an end.

Ratings remain very strong and we’re sure HGTV executives wanted the couple to continue on as hosts… but they just needed a break.

“We would be foolish to think we can go and go and fire on all cylinders and never stop to pause,” said the parents of four at the time, adding by way of explanation:

“Our family is healthy and our marriage has honestly never been stronger…

“This is just us recognizing that we need to catch our breath for a moment.

“Our plan is to take this time to shore up and strengthen the spots that are weak, rest the places that are tired and give lots of love and attention to both our family and our businesses.”

It’s not as though Chip and Joanna will be receding much from the spotlight, even after Fixer Upper is no longer on the air.

They just signed a clothing line deal with Target and Chip just came out with a memoir.

Yes, removing shooting obligations enables the stars to spend more time at home with their children (Drake, 12; Ella, 11; Duke, 9; and Emmie Kay, 7) – but these are two very busy and successful people.

They will remain busy and successful for many years to come.

“We really don’t know [if this is the end of us on TV]. I feel hopeful for whatever it is,” Joanna told People Magazine a few weeks ago.

She continued:

“We have a real-life business on the ground in Waco, Texas, and we are opening a restaurant in January and February.

“There are lot of things, we just got to get on the ground and be a really big part of that as these things are kind of still going.”

We can confirm that the final season of Fixer Upper – the best one EVER, apparently – will be comprised of 19 episodes.

And we can also confirm that we’ll be watching each and every one of them.

We love you, Chip and Joanna!
