Over 10 years since its release, we’re still talking about the Kim Kardashian sex tape.

Or, to be more accurate, over 10 years since it release Kim Kardashian and her family members are still talking about the Kim Kardashian sex tape.

On one hand, we can’t blame them.

This piece of sizzling footage – filmed by Kim and Ray J during the prime of their relationship, during a trip to Cabo – is the main reason Kim and her loved ones are famous, after all.

On the other, however, you’d think there might be a semblance of guilt or shame over the family’s empire being so dependent on video of a D-List hip hop artist bending Kim over and…

… sorry, nevermind. You get it by now.

But last night’s midseason finale of Keeping Up with the Kardashians made just the opposite clear:

Kim remains very proud of her work in that video.

On the episode in question, Kim, Kris Jenner and a few other cast members sat down for a media training session.

At one point, the topic turned to Kim’s often-viewed banging of Ray J, with the interviewer saying to Kris:

“The Hollywood Reporter has called it ‘The Kardashian Decade: how a sex tape lead to a billion dollar brand.’

“Kris, interestingly your eyes dropped when Jen got to the mention of the tape.”

“I know,” Kris replied with a smile.

The trainer then gave Jenner advice on how to react when the sex tape was brought up.

“I think try to keep that eye contact and not look like, ‘Ugh.’ Almost like that poked in the ribs a little bit,” he said.

And this is when Kardashian herself chimed in as follows:

“Don’t be ashamed!”

That’s actually a pretty funny line.

And it’s refreshing that Kim can joke about the video that clearly did launch her career, instead of pretending like she never wanted it leaked and that it’s all just so gosh darn embarrassing.

Elsewhere during the media training session, Kris was asked about Caitlyn Jenner.

She insisted that she didn’t turn a “blind eye” to her ex-husband’s desire to be a woman, only that she didn’t have the “whole truth” during their marriage.

As for things Caitlyn wrote about in her memoir?

“Well, I think just the general tone of the book [was a problem],” she replied, adding in more detail:

“Very mean-spirited. A lot of inaccuracies.

“I think somebody with a little elegance and class and somebody that’s been divorced but trying to stay on good term with the family might have written:

“‘Wow, married to her, didn’t work out, she’s a great girl, wish it could have been different.'”

That’s fair.

Then again, Kris pushed her daughter to make a sex tape and then profited off said sex tape.

So we’re not sure if she’s really in a position to tell others what should or should not be made public.
