Other Wedding Vendors

Many of the destination wedding planning books that you come across will feature a checklist that shows you what decisions you need to make and when you need to make those decisions. Most books also include a detailed list of all the vendors you may need to work with on your special day. While you'll likely remember the florist, caterer, photographer and videographer, there are a few you might forget about and leave off your list.

For Guests

You generally need to make accommodation arrangements for destination wedding guests. Guests need a place they can stay and relax before and after the reception. Contact hotels, resorts and bed and breakfasts around the wedding venue. Many of these vendors offer discounted rates and let you reserve a block of rooms for your guests.

For the Ceremony

You need more than just food and decorations at your reception; you also need some form of entertainment. Couples often hire disc jockeys, orchestras and bands to perform live during the reception. You may need to find vendors who can supply you with waiters and bartenders, rental furniture or party favors for your guests.

Other Vendors

Other wedding vendors that you may need include travel planners or agents, dance teachers and lighting specialists. You can also hire wedding or event planners who can take care of many of the preparations for you. Couples may want to work with transportation specialists as well who can drive them to and from the ceremony.

Making a list of everything you want and need for your big day can help you decide which vendors to add to your list.
