Can I legally get married in Spain?
Mallorca (or Majorca) is part of Spain, where weddings are typically conducted in two parts. The first part of the ceremony is the civil part – the legal formality. Unless one of you is Spanish, or a resident in Spain, this must be conducted in your own country before or after you fly to Mallorca. The exception is if you are Catholic and having a Catholic wedding ceremony.
The second part of the ceremony is the fun part – the celebration! It can be religious or alternative, and can include anything you want such as exchanging vows or a blessing of your union.
Can I have a same-sex wedding?
Same sex weddings are legal in Spain. As with civil weddings, they process is long and convoluted for non-residents, requiring documentation to be translated into Spanish and up to four months notice to be given. Most couples opt to have a civil ceremony in their own country before coming to Mallorca to have a larger ceremony.

Mallorca is gloriously sunny and mild for most of the year. You are virtually guaranteed sunshine and good weather between April and October, when the weather averages between 18C and 25C. The most popular months for weddings are June and September, when the weather averages a pleasant 21C.
