If you have never been to the Keys, then your wedding is the perfect occasion to make the trip. Not only is the drive down there spectacular, the Key boasts some of the best beaches in Florida.

There is a busy wedding season in the summer months but a tropical climate for most of the year means out of season weddings are also becoming increasingly popular. The Hawks Cay Resort in particular grabbed our attention. Couples have bags of choice when it comes to celebrating their marriage at Hawks from beachside landings and terraces to ballrooms, the pretty Dolphin deck, the Coral Cay pool, sea facing manicured lawns, the beach itself or even a stunning catamaran.

Las Vegas

The classic shotgun getaway, Vegas is not just about roadside wedding chapels. Any of the big hotels along the strip have great destination wedding packages for big and small unless of course, the spontaneity of a wedding chapel has won your heart.

Grand Canyon

Yes, you can most certainly get married at the edge of the Grand Canyon. With the Canyon spread out before you, you’ll feel on top of the world as you exchange vows. With so many beautiful photo opportunities, time the ceremony to take place in the afternoon and wrap up your photo shoot with a stunning sunset before you head off to one of the lodges.

Alaska

How does getting married atop a glacier sound? No it is not impossible, though it might be a tad chilly. Be sure to include a winter coat in your honeymoon suitcase and plenty of moisturizer in your destination wedding beauty checklist! Views are stunning and the helicopter ride to get there, exciting and breath taking. The only downfall is that big ceremonies are just not possible for obvious limitations. The Taku Glacier Lodge and Glacial Gardens in Juneau are popular alternatives.

Famous worldwide for its wineries, why not say your I Dos under the vines? With beautiful weather all year round, California is the ideal American wedding destination. Whether you style it rustic chic, boho, country vintage or classic, Napa Valley also offers a wide choice of churches, hotels and golf clubs.

San Francisco

It’s a classic we know but photos with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background, well no-one will ever need to ask where you went for your wedding.

Hawaii

Its beaches, waterfalls and luxury hotels attract wedding couples and honeymooners from all over. Out of all the islands, Honolulu, Maui and the Big Island are firm favourites for destination weddings.

Central Park, New York

Featured in many a romantic movie, the famous Loeb Boathouse, Pond, Ladies Pavilion, majestic fairytale Belvedere Castle and the 18 acre lake are all popular locations.

US Virgin Islands

St Thomas is one of the most popular islands in the Caribbean. Whether you are a cruise ship passenger or plan to be there for the honeymoon, the white sands of St. Thomas have witnessed many an exchange of vows and rings. We like Magens Bay but there are plenty of others.

Niagara Falls, Buffalo

A top choice when it comes to getting married in front of the falls, the dramatic location has received national media recognition.
