Based on the photos we’ve seen of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at Christmas (below), it’s pretty clear the beloved couple had a merry Christmas.

But now we have proof of their joyous time!

By way of Harry’s very own, very handsome mouth!

During a special edition of Radio 4’s Today program on Wednesday – which included a chat between Harry and Barack Obama in which the stars discussed their common focus of building leaders for the next generation – the 33-year-old Prince referred to Meghan’s first Christmas “fantastic.”

It included a trip to Church of St. Mary Magdalene and a lot of time spent with Prince William, Kate Middleton and their adorable kids.

“She really enjoyed it,” Harry told the hosts of his fiancee and their holiday plans. “The family loved having her there.”

Harry explained that the recently-engaged couple even stayed with Prince William and Kate Middleton, along with four-year old Prince George and two-year-old Princess Charlotte.

(A third child will join the family this spring.)

“There’s always that family part of Christmas [where] there’s always that work element there as well, and I think together we had an amazing time,” Harry elaborated, adding:

“We had great fun staying with my brother and sister-in-law and running round with the kids. Christmas was fantastic.”

In the video below, Harry also delves into the touchy subject of whether Barack Obama will be invited to his wedding, but the part of his interview that many are focusing on right now has nothing to do with any President, past or present.

Further speaking on Markle’s Christmas, the attractive Royal said:

“She’s done an absolutely amazing job, she’s getting in there and it’s the family that I suppose she’s never had.”

The family she never had?!?

This is awkward, but… well… Meghan Markle has a family.

Is Harry implying with this quote and this viewpoint that the actress isn’t especially close to her parents or her siblings?

The former would come as a surprise, but we can’t say we’re shocked if Markle doesn’t get along well with her sister.

Samantha Markle, Meghan’s half-sister, has said some unflattering things about her famous sibling in the past.

For instance, Samantha Tweeted some harsh words in April, stating that Markle only pretends to do charity work for PR purposes.

“It’s about basic human consideration. She has none. What has she donated to India? Talk is cheap,” Samantha said of her sister.

Ouch, right?!?

“People who are starving and too poor to afford sanitary napkins don’t need a voice they need money and they need donations,” added the lesser-known Markle.

It’s worth noting, however, that Samantha and Meghan were not raised in the same house.

They don’t really know each other very well.

“Samantha Grant doesn’t have a relationship with Meghan Markle and she never has,” an insider told E! News earlier this year of the half-siblings, concluding:

“Meghan was raised an only child by her loving parents.”

There’s no evidence at all that Markle doesn’t get along well with her mother and father.

Just consider her dad’s reaction to the news that his child is engaged to Prince Harry.

“I’m very pleased,” the 73-year-old dad said this month. “I’m delighted.”

He added that he can’t wait to give away his daughter.

How sweet, right?

Harry and Markle will get married in London on May 19.

After that, Harry’s loved ones won’t just be the family Markle never had…

… they’ll be her actual family!
